'state' of political drama

What worse could happen to a common man in this state? Guess nothing worse than whats happening in the political arena. Never before in my life, have seen politics stoop down to this level where the parties and the leaders are concerned with the power/power sharing and not with what people of this state need. Agreed that they need or rather to be power hungry, but why be so f**king desperate for power that you completely do away with what was said a week back and 'shake' hands with the people who denied the power to be transferred initially. Where are the morals, ethics and principles with these leaders. Whats wrong with leaders who were elected to serve the people who choose them to serve them and now all they are worried about is who's gonna get power and enjoy the same for whatever short period they are gonna get into their basket. These are the leaders, who truly in all aspect to be a leader and they were elected to do so. Dictionary defines leader as 'a guiding or directing head, as of an army, movement, or political group', sadly none of the qualities we cant find even after drilling these guys to their last bit.

Consider this, even if the so called alliance between jds and bjp works out and the latter comes to power, you can be rest assured that in another couple of months you will forget the past and they are bound to make the best possible in short time and screw our happiness, and nothing i mean nothing is gonna change for you or me. We are suffering with this political plague for ages and we are accustomed to it and we shall continue to do so. Neither you or I can make any difference, even if given a chance what best we could do? Do a dharna? or a start a online campaign against these guys, nothing is gonna change. Even if it does, i doubt the severity of the impact it might have. And we are the one's to be blamed and not them. Sadly, we know they are the disguised crooks who are gonna take away our rights and happiness and heck we cant do anything about it.

Trust me. We might boast ourselves as silicon city of India or the best techie guys out there, me and you using a blackberry to connect to the world and end up working on a project to an US or an UK guy, worst on a Gandhi Jayanthi day or even for that matter on an Independence Day. Guess that could be another debate and ball game all together. But, you might be wondering what in the worlds name I am writing out here, but if you observe closely with all the events unfolding in terms of political, economical or social arena's, we are just a mute spectator who have paid to witness this fantastic show put up the top-most fella's or our state and nation.

The best and the worst thing with we Indians are, our attitude. Yes, very simple. Only two things which is messing up the entire scenario of this nation.
1. Chaltha Hai yaar.
2. Our poor memory. We forget things which happened yesterday, and we don't even feel the necessity to remember things as we are tied up in the rat race and as our asses are literally on fire to ensure that our monthly bills are paid on time and nothing happening around us bothers us.

Sad, but true. This is who we are. And, we need to just silently wait and watch of the events which will unfold and affect us in a way of which we wont even feel the pain and yet we need to salute to our own spirits of fighting and surviving amongst all these odds and tragic state of affairs and yet we live in a hope of an future, a future which is as hazy as our present.

We need to wake up. We need to make an difference. Small or big. We need to change things if we want to raise our heads with pride, not for having a comfy IT life with a good sal, but to an future where our kids/next generation will bless us and not curse as we are doing right this very moment to the people who bought the nation to the state what we are facing now. To an future where we can see an truly independent India with its wings free to fly.

new gift

Last week on my b'day received a sony cybershot 7.1px camera. For a moment, when i opened the box i couldn't believe someone could be so crazy to gift me such a wonderful stuff which is worth quite a lot. But nevertheless I was way too happy to own it, which I was planning for so many months but never could manage to buy one. Thanks A. Thanks a ton to you.

Well.. now the real fun begins... I am sure most of you might be aware of my so called and not so great photographic skills, but hey, who cares, i am gonna just click around as long as i can express through those snaps, nothin like it.

To start with, had been to Thrissur in Kerala for my colleague's wedding and clicked around few places and some experimental shots. Take a look and leave a note only if u hated it. :)

back2back

well.. its got nothing to do with anyone's back or mine :) Its just that been watching movies on 'back-to-back' style over the weekend. Bought over some of my very favourite dvd's and i am way too happy to see them glitter in my collection of the best of the best movies.

here's the list of movies which i bought in past 8 days:
1. Munich
2. Blood Diamond
3. Road to Perdition
4. Pirates of the Carribean (the first part, the other two sucked)
5. Donnie Brasco
6. Hitch
7. Fight Club
8. Casino Royale
9. Lage Raho Munnabhai ( worth owning this one, especially from bollywood)
10. The Departed

there r few more... which I am unable to recollect at the moment; shall add this little later on.

And have got a BIG list of movies which I need to own, needless to say they r the best, but here's the three movies which I am unable to get hold of, rather haven't seen these three movies on the shelf.

1.What Dreams May Come ( Robbie Williams)
2. Contact ( Jodie Foster)
3. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind ( Jim Carrey and kate Winslet)

Trying hard to get hold of these movies. Hoping that will be able to get them one way or the other.

Kyoorius Design Yatra updates

Phew. Finally back from 5 day Goa trip. First things first, here are the best and the worst abt the trip:

The best
1. The beach
2. Speech by Stefen Sagmeister
3. Accomodation
4. And, babes.

The worst
1. The entire event
2. And, babes again.

Well honestly, I dont know what Kyoorius guys were trying to achieve thru this event. It was such a horrible show and such a waste of time. Defnetly not worth the money (bomb) they had charged for. Nah, defnetly not. To make it more worse, there were few speakers, infact of whom still trying to figure out the message and their speech. What on earth they were trying to communicate to the audience. There was a complete disconnect of the proposed theme and what took place in those 3 days. Its sad. And to beat this all, the heat... man.. cant believe Goa can be this hotter. Literally we were roasted out. Phew.

All said and done, the entire trip was half work and half holiday. Cant say enjoyed it to the best, but hey, I considered it to be a good break from work for few days and thats what it was. But I am sure of not taking part in any future design yatras. Trust me. I even dont know how many will turn up if they did conduct next year.

Sripuram, largest Golden temple

Offlate, its been too tiring and lots of traveling happening. But hey, i like it. Why to worry, when you hav the chance to be associated with a project, which is world's largest golden temple and which has been built at a cost of whopping Rs 300 crores. Instead of analysing and questioning, why such a huge amount to develop a temple and why not a hospital, its best left to experience the place. Trust me, the place is just magical and the view is breathtaking.

We at Animika Studios, are proud to be associated with this project, of which we developed the official website of Sripuram and also few other visual communications.

To know more abt the temple and get a sneak peak at www.sripuram.org

And, here are few snaps of the place.

bollywood version

I dont know how many of you had the chance see the oscar winner The Departed, but as I had already seen it twice on the big screen, couldnt stop myself watching Martin's masterpiece once again. So yesterday, as weekend celebration bought this dvd and enjoyed the classic once again. But however, the reason I am writing abt that here is, while watching this thought crossed my mind, our bollywood being so nice and caring abt hollywood classics that they just flick it and add some drama, songs, big star cast and voila.. the movie is a hit. So thought, if someone could make this movie in hindi version, how that would be... gosh.. cant even imagine tho. But still, with history of bollywood proving it.. i am sure someone is surely gonna come with our own hindi version of it. Afterall they have flicked so many movies in the past. So think again, if they would be doin it and with the current trend in bollywood.. who could be playing the roles... well here's my list of characters or rather if by fate if someone had to copy it...atleast hope this list might be helpful...

1. Jack Nicholson = Amitabh Bachan
2. Dicaprio = Saif Ali Khan
3. Matt Damon = Akshay Khanna
4. Mark Wahlberg = Ajay Devgan
5. Martin Sheen = Anupam Kher
6. Alec Baldwin = Om Puri
7. Madolyn = Vidya Balan

saga of a sad system

well. dont want to say anything more related to this. But to tell you honestly, I am totally disappointed and feel disgusted with our judicial system. The way things work out here is completely unimaginable. The only thing which matters to anyone related to this system is money and power, at all cost and time. No one spared. No mercy showered. Its just money money money.

You have money. Then you have the law on your side. If you dont, its no use of you being honest or truthful. It aint gonna work. Just not.

Movies like RDB can make no difference to these people or to us. Infact, even if we have hundreds of movies which inspires us to fight corruption and choose path of truth. But along the way, you are bound to give up and head bac home, coz the entire system is scr***ed and they take you along so you can have the pleasure too.

tick tock tick tock

boy. thats the most difficult and one challenging task what everyone comes across. Not that its difficult, but the amount of patience you need to have and need to organise things around just gets on to your nerves sometimes. At the moment, I am loving it and yes I havent succeeded yet tho. Coz it aint easy to manage time when you have ten tasks at hand, which all scream for your attention and yet you need to ensure that nothin gets scrwed up. Aint easy buddy. But guess what, you can really get on to it, by just focussing on one thing at a time and not letting others work or pre-lined up works to overtake the ones at your hand. One task, complete attention and focus on it, shall solve your issues and still you can save some hair on your head. No wonder the people at the top level in the ladder game have clean and sparkling bald heads.

But what really pisses me off is last minute tasks. Thats one thing which I havent been able to get rid off, no matter how hard you try or how much you make sure nothin crops in the last minute, yet they seem to find a narrow way to sneak upon you and say peek-a-boo, look whos here, its me kind. SIGH

mungaru male

I have never EVER watched any kannada movie more than once on a big screen. Have seen plenty of them, but just once. Didnt find them worth watching twice on a big screen or just wasnt satisfied enough to hit the theatre again for the same movie.

But I still wonder, what magic did this movie weave on me. I have seen it thrice. On the big screen itself. Still i am not satisfied. Wanna watch it again and again and just dont want to get over tht magical feeling. Agree, if you have seen it already, you may be shocked to see my views on ths. Is it that great? Is it worth watching so many times? YES. indeed it is. Agree that there are flaws in the screenplay. But I am no least concerned with that as I have a visual treat to cherish. I have never seen any kannada movie in my entire life which is so beautifully shot. Especially of Madikeri and jog falls. And music. wont say anything. listen to it. you will never stop humming abt it. trust me on that.

I am glad the times are changin in this industry. And wish to see more and more quality films like these.

its time to get drenched.
